Why an LED Mirror Makes a Difference
A bathroom mirror does more than reflect your image – it defines how well-lit and polished the entire room feels. An LED bathroom mirror combines functional illumination with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that's hard to achieve with separate light fittings. Whether you're applying make-up, shaving, or simply starting the morning, the right LED mirror delivers even, shadow-free light exactly where you need it.
At Phantom Furniture, we stock a carefully curated range of LED bathroom mirrors – from slim frameless rounds to bold rectangular designs with black frames. Here's a guide to help you choose the right one.
Round vs Rectangular: Which Shape Suits Your Bathroom?
Shape is the first decision, and it's mostly about style and proportion. Round mirrors soften the look of a bathroom and work particularly well in compact en-suites or above a single basin. Rectangular mirrors with rounded corners tend to suit wider vanity units and master bathrooms where you need more mirror surface.
Round LED Mirrors
Aurelia LU LED 60 (60 cm, £269) – A frameless round mirror with a full-perimeter LED backlight creating a soft halo effect. At 15 W and IP44 rated, it's ideal for compact bathrooms and en-suites. The integrated touch switch keeps the face completely clean.

Aurelia LU LED 80 (80 cm, £289) – The larger sibling at 80 cm diameter and 20 W. Perfect above a wide vanity unit or as a focal point in a spacious bathroom. Same frameless construction, same neutral white backlight.

Venus 80 (80 cm, £289) – Also frameless and round at 80 cm, but with a distinctive cool white LED frontlight rather than a backlight. The result is a bold luminous ring that works beautifully in all-white or minimalist schemes. IP44, 2 cm deep – one of the slimmest profiles in our range.

Sirius LU LED 60 (60 cm, £359) – A Polish-made round mirror with a slim black frame and full-perimeter internal frontlight. At 4000K neutral white and 24 W, it delivers accurate colour rendering. Manufactured by Furnika in Poland – a step up in build quality and visual presence.

Rectangular LED Mirrors
Bianca 60, Bianca 80 & Bianca 120 (from £269 to £339) – Three sizes of the same frameless rectangular mirror with a top-mounted LED strip. The Bianca 120 (120 × 70 cm, £339) is the natural choice for double-basin setups, with a 111.4 cm LED strip delivering 535 lm across the full width. All three are IP44 rated with integrated touch switches.

Vega LU LED 65 (65 × 80 cm, £379) – The premium rectangular option. Polish-made by Furnika, with a slim black frame, full-perimeter 4000K frontlight at 36 W, and a 4 cm deep profile that gives it an architectural, three-dimensional presence. IP21 rated, touch sensor on the mirror face.

Frameless vs Framed: What's the Difference?
Frameless mirrors blend seamlessly into any décor – the glass edge is the boundary and the light does the talking. They suit minimalist, Scandi, and contemporary interiors equally well.
Framed mirrors – our black-frame options (Sirius LU LED 60, Vega LU LED 65) – add a defined, architectural edge. The black frame creates contrast against white tiles or pale walls and pairs beautifully with black tap hardware or black-framed shower enclosures for a fully coordinated look.
Backlight vs Frontlight: Which Gives Better Illumination?
- Backlight (Aurelia range) – LED strip is behind the mirror panel, creating a halo glow around the perimeter. Atmospheric and flattering, great for ambient lighting.
- Frontlight (Venus, Sirius, Vega, Bianca) – LED strip faces forward, illuminating the user directly. Superior for task lighting – applying make-up, shaving, skincare routines.
If you want a mirror that performs brilliantly for daily grooming, opt for a frontlight. If atmosphere and ambience are priorities, a backlit halo mirror like the Aurelia is a strong choice.
Light Colour: Neutral White vs Cool White
Most of our mirrors use neutral white (4000K) light – a balanced, natural tone that renders skin tones accurately without the harshness of cool white or the warmth of warm white. This is the most versatile choice for a bathroom.
The Venus range uses cool white light – brighter and crisper, ideal for all-white or stone-effect bathrooms where you want maximum brightness.
Size Guide: How Big Should Your Bathroom Mirror Be?
As a rule of thumb, your mirror should be no wider than your vanity unit. For a 60 cm basin unit, a 60 cm mirror is a safe match. For an 80 cm or wider double-basin unit, consider the Aurelia LU LED 80, Venus 80, or Bianca 120.
- Single basin / compact bathroom: Aurelia LU LED 60, Venus 60, Sirius LU LED 60, Bianca 60
- Single or double basin / mid-size bathroom: Aurelia LU LED 80, Venus 80, Bianca 80, Vega LU LED 65
- Double basin / large master bathroom: Bianca 120
IP Rating: Is Your Mirror Safe for Your Bathroom Zone?
Most of our mirrors carry an IP44 rating – protected against water splashes from any direction. This is suitable for the majority of bathroom installations above a basin. The Polish-made Furnika mirrors (Sirius, Vega) are IP21, which means they're splash-resistant but should not be installed directly above a shower or in a steam-heavy zone.
